I have worked for Berkshire Hathaway Home Services since 2005. I specialize in the real estate markets of Carpinteria, Montecito, Santa Barbara, and Goleta. With my experience and dedicated focus to each client, I have attracted buyers, sellers, contractors, and investors from all over the country. I am married to Brian and we have two children, Lyla and Jack. I am a second generation Realtor and have followed in the footsteps of my father, Dave Sorensen, who built and sold houses for over 40 years. Originally born in Alberta, Canada, I prefer the warmer climate in Santa Barbara and have lived here since 1998. I graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Communication from the University of California Santa Barbara in 2002 and went on to earn my Masters in Education, as well as my teaching credential. After teaching 3rd grade, which I enjoyed immensely, I decided to become a licensed agent. After my first transaction, in which I helped an elderly man sell his lifelong home to a young family, I was hooked and have been working as a full-time Realtor ever since.
When I'm not selling real estate, I can be found volunteering with my church, Oceanhills, at various events in town and serving meals to the homeless. I am a sustaining member of the Junior League of Santa Barbara and have been passionate about giving back to my community by working with non-profits such as Meals on Wheels, Transition House, Casa Esperanza Homeless Center, Noah's Anchorage, and World Vision. I have a heart for "friends without homes" and I am devoted to the holistic wellness of those in my community who need to be housed.
